Beach, friends, airplanes and mallows...what a great weekend.

Four years of calculated personal PR couldn't get my face on the BYU homepage while I actually attended the university. But now, 1.5 years after graduating, my mug has finally hit the big time. If you read this post today, you can check it out live at www.byu.edu.

I have no idea why my picture is there, but I think it's hilarious. Thanks Laugh Out Loud! I'm thinking of you, too!

(and thanks to Kristoffer Keene for tipping me off about the pic)

I accepted a job today as the Director of Marketing at TestMasters (don't judge me by their website--I haven't even started there yet), a test prep company for standardized tests like the LSAT, GMAT, and SAT. It is similar to Kaplan, etc. They are a national, multi-million dollar company interested in enlarging their stake in the college market and initializing a push in the high school market.

It's life-changing. No more 2pm XBOX breaks with my roommate. No more working at random ad agency studios doing text edits and layout tweaks. No more guessing games with my budget.

"But, Kenny, I thought you wanted to be an art director for a crazy ad agency?" Well, yes, I did. And I still think that would be interesting and haven't ruled it out for the future. But this position is a huge opportunity to apply my skills, stretch myself, give value to a brand and be valued by a brand. I couldn't pass it up.

So, after one and one-half years of searching, I've found a job to begin my career. It will be hard and it will test my resolve, but it's a huge step in my life. Goodbye freelance, hello TestMasters.

    Hazzahh!

I love you all, thanks for your support along the way.

    -Kenny

p.s. For those of you wondering, "So, Kenny, does this mean you'll be doing comedy again? That was your holdup, right? A real, big boy job?" You're right, that was my holdup. So, all I can say is...stay tuned :)

Not the best picture, but an exceptional storyteller who puts on a wonderful show. All except for her having to bolt two seconds after the end. I would've liked to have talked with you, Elna Baker. It's rare to come across a funny female performer--especially in Mormondom. Not that you'll ever see this blog or, even less likely, post a comment, but you totally missed out on some great convo.

And yeah, I just typed convo.

They're getting ready for Friday night's powderpuff game...are you??

Down with RS1! Long live RS2!!

The original M*A*S*H set in Malibu Hills is a bit disappointing on first glance, but the sheer coolness of being where the tv shows were filmed is payoff enough for the simple hike to get there.

Getting back was a bit of an adventure considering we got lost and ended up having to do some rock climbing out over some water. That's the very very short version of the story, hopefully I'll be able to gather some epic pics and post them later.

In the background, being interviewed, are the three creators and stars. They reproduced the blockbuster film shot by shot in their basement over the course of 7 years (they were 12 when they started!). I'm sitting in Mann's Chinese Theater and the producers are talking and the epic movie is about to begin!!!!!!

Way to go Jeff Richardson and Shana Waye. Finger swordfighting is HOT.

It's absolutely a talent, the way he can make me laugh so consistently. Brilliant (and clean!). *sigh* I can't but help miss the stage. I'll need to find some way to re-strengthen my resolve to keep comedy on the back burner. Career first, Kenny. Be sober. Okay that's more than the internet needs to know.

Back to my point: Brian's hilarious! So glad I could go! Thanks, Mark Walker, for organizing it all...even if you didn't actually get to go.
